The highest standards of integrity, honesty, and complete professionalism will be components of our every day performance

History
Northrop Rice USA, Inc. (NRUSA) is a global aviation training provider with a history extending back some 70 years.  The company has developed many domestic, international and online training programs that support the aviation maintenance industry.

The Northrop Rice Aviation Institute of  Technology (NRAIT) division of NRUSA is a non accredited online education institution for Aviation Maintenance professionals.  It emerged from the original Northrop Aircraft Corporation after World War II.  The Institute has been a leader in aviation education since 1947.  The current focus of NRAIT is alumni relations for Northrop University, Northrop Rice USA and Rice Aviation.  The Technical Management program is being reconfigured into a specialist program offered over the internet.

The other predecessor of the NRUSA organization, Rice Aviation, established and operated a total of 10 Federal Aviation Administration approved (Part 147) Aircraft Maintenance Technician schools.  Rice Aviation commenced operation in Houston, TX in 1971.

During its accumulated seventy-year history, NRUSA became the largest aviation maintenance technician training organization in the United States.  NRUSA retained a multi-million dollar, multiyear contract to establish the Malaysian Institute of Aviation Maintenance MIAT (now known as UNiKL MIAT).  In 1999, the company divested itself of its domestic Part 147 training operations and transformed itself from a basic Part 147 school operator  to a global training organization.

In 2017, Northrop Rice expanded the Total Training Management option to Repair Stations interested in improving the quality of the training they deliver to employees.
